Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Susanna Reid's interviewing technique received criticism during Good Morning Britain earlier today when she 'interrupted' a guest mid-flow.

Professor Paul Cosford, the Director for Health Protection and Medical Director for Public Health England, called into the studio via video chat.

The medical expert started discussing the struggle in introducing widespread coronavirus testing in the UK before Susanna interrupted to make her point.

Referring to a German science journalist who appeared on the show minutes previously, she wondered why widespread testing is taking so long to come to the UK.
