The number of new deaths from coronavirus in England, Scotland and Wales has increased to 781 in 24 hours, according to new figures, meaning the UK has now had more than 20,000 deaths.
The numbers do not yet include figures from hospitals in Northern Ireland, which have not been released, nor does it include deaths in the community, such as care homes or in people's homes.
On Friday, there were 768 more deaths in UK hospitals as 19,506 people had died at that point. Today, NHS England announced 711 new deaths of people who tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England's hospitals to 18,084, but the UK-wide hospital death total has now risen to 20,274 deaths.
