With coronavirus cases in the UK now in their thousands, many Brits have taken the decision to self-isolate in their homes. If you usually exercise outdoors, you may be getting a little stir-crazy and itching to head outside.
Now, experts have revealed that it’s safe to exercise outdoors - as long as appropriate social distancing methods are maintained.
Speaking to Today, Crystal Watson from the Johns Hopkins Centre for Health Security, explained: “I think it's really important to be able to get our exercise in, even if we can't go to the gym.
It’s a wonderful way to keep up mental and physical health.” If you can, try to exercise in a large outdoor space, rather than a cramped shared garden.
