Coronavirus lockdown party stormed by police as rebels continue to flout rules

Police stormed a "lockdown party" flouting the government's lockdown and social distancing rules. Officers showed up to shut down the social gathering at 9:30pm in Elton, Peterborough.

Residents living on the street say approximately 10 people attended the bash. A post shared on Facebook described the woman who lived in the house as "selfish".

It read: "The police were called, two left and as soon as the police left she let them back in. "The police came three times which resulted in seven cars and vans blocking the street and at least 15 officers taken off the street." A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9:30pm on Saturday 4 April 2020, police were called to reports of non-compliance with Government restrictions
