A man has tragically died while queuing to get into Tesco during the coronavirus lockdown. The victim, who has not been identified, collapsed near the supermarket in Ware, Herts, yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 10am, with one witness calling it a “terribly sad” incident. They told Herts Live that other shoppers tried to help the man before ambulance crews arrived.
A number of police cars were seen diverting people from the High Street, with customers instead directed to the rear entrance of the store.
