A heartbroken mum's world has been "tipped upside down" after her 11-week-old baby was diagnosed with coronavirus. Little Ares Banister tested positive after being rushed to hospital with a high temperature, with mum Jodie admitting she feared the worst.
Prior to the Covid-19 diagnosis at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Tuesday, Jodie, 30, said her baby boy had a "bad day" but has since settled.
Speaking to the BBC, Jodie said her family have been very careful since the outbreak started, including "wiping door handles and surfaces" - and have barely left the house in weeks. "So, we just thought, no way on earth it'd be Covid," she said.
