It’s no secret many charities and non-profit organizations are suffering during the coronavirus pandemic, as their fundraising efforts have been cut short.
In Montreal, that means local non-profits have had to get creative. The medical staff on the front lines of Lakeshore General Hospital — a COVID-19-designated facility — are in constant need of personal protective equipment (PPE).
But with a recent drop in fundraising activities, the hospital foundation’s board of directors decided to help by personally matching donations up to $20,000 until May 1. “We have 13 members on our board of directors and all 13 have stepped up to make a donation.
