All McDonald's restaurants in the UK and Ireland are to close by 7pm on Monday, the firm has announced. The fast food chain shut the seating areas of its restaurants on Wednesday and had been running a takeaway only service following the coronavirus outbreak.
But on Sunday night McDonald's, which has at least 25 branches across Greater Manchester, announced all its restaurants in the UK and Ireland were now closing completely.
In a statement McDonald's said: "We have taken the difficult decision to close all McDOnald's restaurants in the UK and Ireland by 7pm on Monday March 23 at the latest.
