U.K. Environment Secretary George Eustice said on Sunday that food supply businesses, like grocery stores, had reported a lower absence rate compared to three weeks ago when it hit 20 per cent, saying some have seen their rate drop as low as six per cent as of the end of last week allowing for more people to be available to provide service.
He said supermarkets have also increased and prioritized delivery slots for vulnerable people.
