Police swooped on a pub after it reopened to sell “scandalously low” priced beer during the coronavirus lockdown. The boozer in Leith, near Edinburgh, announced on Facebook yesterday that it was chucking open its doors for the first time since the shutdown.

The Malt & Hops pub said in its announcement that it was offering “social distancing” pints – where only one drinker was allowed in at a time.

Edinburgh Live reports the bar said in the Facebook post: ”2-3pm Wed, Frid, Sat. Cask & Draught available at scandalously low prices. “Grab yourself a container & enjoy a proper pint.
