Coronavirus Scotland: Total deaths rise to 893 while Ayrshire cases hit 560

The number of people who have died after contracting the coronavirus in Scotland has risen to 837, it has been announced today.That is an increase of 56 from yesterday.In the Ayrshire and Arran region another 24 people have tested positive for coronavirus.The confirmation means that the total number of confirmed people with the deadly virus in the region has risen to 560.Data released by the Scottish Government also shows 118 residents are in hospital in the region, with 12 of those currently in intensive care.A total of 7,820 people have now tested positive in Scotland - a daily rise of 411.
