Scots have been warned 'do not come on holiday to the Highlands' as people flee cities during the coronavirus crisis. Politicians in the Scottish Highland have issued a dire warning that their area must not be used as a way of self isolating as cars and campervans clog the roads.Highland MSP Kate Forbes MSP said people could be potentially transmitting the virus to a new community.The new Scottish finance secretary wrote: “If you live elsewhere, please don’t use the Highlands as your means of self-isolation.
People live here who are trying to follow government guidance and the continuing flow of campervans and other traffic who appear to be escaping the cities is not helping.”Earlier we told how the Scottish islands had also been 'closed'
