Scots cat owners are being told they only need to keep their pets indoors if someone from their household is showing symptoms of coronavirus.
Vets around Scotland have shared updated guidance from the British Veterinary Association after false reports emerged that all cats should be kept inside during the pandemic.
The experts have said that cats from coronavirus-stricken homes should only be kept inside if the animal is happy with it. While there has been no evidence that dogs can contract the virus, cats can show clinical signs of the disease.
