A further 209 people have died from coronavirus in UK hospitals. The increase consists of 183 hospital patients in England, 13 people in Scotland, two in Northern Ireland and 11 hospital patients and care home residents in Wales.
England has recorded a higher jump in deaths than yesterday. No UK-wide figures from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) have been released, so the total is taken from each nation’s individual reporting.
