More than 30,000 people have signed up to a health service recruitment drive in a bid to combat Covid-19. The 'Be on call for Ireland' campaign launched this week to seek help from healthcare professionals who are not already working in the public health service.
The recruitment call also came with the message: "Maybe you aren't a healthcare professional, maybe you’re studying to be one, or maybe you have other skills to offer or just want to volunteer to do your bit if needed." Some of those who have signed up include Assistant Professor of Nursing at UCD, John Gilmore-Kavanagh.
