Coughing while infected with Covid can spread the disease up to ten times more than when speaking or breathing, according to a new study.
Researchers said that as a result frontlines health workers could be at 'high' risk in areas where patients with coronavirus were coughing.
Health workers are reportedly up to four times more likely to contract the disease than the rest of the population, and infection rates on hospital wards are said to be double that of staff on intensive care units.
Experts have since called for better PPE and for improved hospital ventilation following the study by the University of Bristol and North Bristol NHS Trust. What do you think about this story?
