US President Donald Trump has let rip at Twitter after it flagged his tweets with a fact-check warning for the first time. The bombastic billionaire accused the social media platform of "interfering in the 2020 presidential election".
He also accused it of "completely stifling FREE SPEECH". Trump had tweeted that mail-in ballots were "fraudulent" and that "mail boxes will be robbed".
But for the first time, Twitter included a link that read "get the facts about mail-in ballots". This takes users to a Twitter "moments" page that includes fact checks about his unsubstantiated claims, and there is also a "what you need to know box".
