Dumfries firefighters joined people up and down the country in showing their appreciation for key workers with a round of applause last Thursday night.The sound of people clapping and the skirl of bagpipes is now common in towns and villages at 8pm every Thursday as a mark of respect for frontline staff during the coronavirus crisis.The Daily Record has launched our NHS Heroes campaign to thank the remarkable NHS staff who are on the front lines of this coronavirus emergency.
