Scots learner drivers will be itching to get back to their lessons after spending more than two months off the roads. The DVSA suspended both practical and theory tests for Scots for up to three months from March 20 as the coronavirus pandemic continued to take hold.

Some novice drivers will be popping into test centres for the big day in the coming weeks for their rescheduled test. Many of them will be a bit rusty after a lengthy period of time away from the wheel.

Only key workers have been allowed to apply for tests during coronavirus lockdown, reports Hull Live. The DVSA has ruled out an immediate return to learning with an instructor as it has given out official advice on driving privately on the roads.
