Kilbryde Hospice are in the frontline in the battle against coronavirus.The hospice is providing much-needed palliative care assistance to COVID-19 patients from Hairmyres Hospital with whom it shares grounds.And despite “anxiety, fear and trepidation” felt amongst those caring for patients, the hospice says the outpouring of kindness has been overwhelming.They joined forces with South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership to help overstretched staff deal with increasing demands of patient care amid outbreak.Nursing and clinical support workers provide daily care to patients, under the medical care of Hairmyres staff.
