EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks have all been cancelled tonight due to the coronavirus pandemic. Soap fans have been left with nothing to watch on a Thursday for the foreseeable future after all soaps were removed from the schedule.

Bosses at the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 decided to stop production on their soaps amid the UK lockdown and are reducing their episode output.

The regular schedule has been torn up to ensure there will be enough episodes saved up to watch in the coming weeks. Thursdays are usually a treat for Emmerdale viewers with a double episode at 7pm and 8pm - but there will only be trips to the village on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from now on.
