An email sent by easyJet to one of the airline’s customers has sparked concern the budget carrier is struggling financially amid the coronavirus crisis.
In the email to the customer who had booked with the airline during peak periods, easyJet offered travellers the chance to transfer their flight to anywhere across Europe, at any time, for free.
The customer got in touch with Daily Star Online to express their concern at the offer, as it does not depend on the original destination, and suggesting the airline was struggling, which has been denied.
The woman, 27, who does not want to be named, had booked to fly from Scotland to London for £60, and under easyJet’s offer, could now re-book a peak flight to any destination in Europe.
