Ed Woodward claims Manchester United still plan to be ‘highly competitive’ in the transfer market despite the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Many clubs are expected to be forced into changing their transfer plans once life gets back to normal after COVID-19 due to them suffering large financial hits.
And while the Red Devils will remain one of the richest clubs in the world they will not be exempt from the financial impact of the outbreak.
United’s executive vice chairman Woodward admits the club will be affected but he insists it is a ‘top priority’ to strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
