Eleven more people have died at Greater Manchester's hospitals having contracted coronavirus. The latest NHS data reveals that at least 78 people have died in the region's facilities after testing positive for the virus.
Further deaths have been confirmed at the Manchester University Foundation Trust, Pennine Actue Hospitals NHS Trust, Salford Royal and Tameside General.
The latest figures, published on Monday, confirms that the UK death toll now stands at 1,415, which is an increase of 187 from yesterday’s total of 1,228.
In England, the number of people who have died after contracting coronavirus is now 1,284, a rise of 159, NHS England said. The patients were aged between 32 and 98 years old and all but four, aged between 56 and 87 years
