English driver caught by cops on way to Scotland to buy puppy during lockdown

A motorist in Manchester was caught attempting to drive to Scotland to buy a puppy during lockdown. The driver had set off from Bury this morning to make a five-hour trip to Dundee to purchase a pooch.

Cumbria Roads  Police  division stopped the plush Black Audi and reported them for breaching coronavirus lockdown rules. The driver was issued a penalty and warned to comply with lockdown regulations.Police tweeted the driver's actions with a warning to others.They said: "Not an essential journey.
