The English Football League is reportedly targeting a closed door return to action in June. The vast majority of European football leagues are in indefinite shutdown to deal with the coronavirus pandemic - although German authorities have allowed clubs to return to training.
The Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga could then return in empty stadiums come May and, according to ESPN, English football authorities are formulating a plan to follow suit.
It's said June 6 has been set as a potential date for the season to resume ahead. That applies to the Championship, League One and League Two, with the plan dependent entirely on UK Government advice.
