Eurovision organisers have announced details of a show that will air in place of the now-cancelled Grand Final. Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light will honour all the artists that were due to perform in this year’s ceremony, which was cancelled last month due to the spread of COVID-19 throughout Europe.
The alternative show will feature ‘plenty of surprises for fans and viewers at home’ as it honours all 41 songs in a non-competitive format.
Airing on May 16, the two-hour show will also include a performance from all artists selected for the 2020 ceremony, including British entrant James Newman, of a past Eurovision hit.
