Explosions heard as car engulfed in flames before emergency crews attacked on Bonfire Night

Explosions were heard in Salford on Bonfire Night after a car was torched. Emergency crews taped off Liverpool Street in Salford to reports of the vehicle blaze at around 9.30pm.

Dramatic footage from the scene showed emergency crews racing to put out the fire, which had broken out in a vehicle at the roadside.

It was reported the vehicle had been filled with fireworks before it burst into flames. The road was taped off before police and fire crews came under attack from a group of youths.
