Actor and comedian Lloyd Griffith has opened up about his experience of having a hair transplant and how losing his hair impacted his dating life in particular.
Lloyd, 41, who hails from Grimsby is now starring in the Death in Paradise spin-off Return to Paradise based in Australia.The star, who plays Detective S.C Colin Cartwright at the Dolphin Cove Police Station, opened up in The Guardian about how his thinning hair led to a dating dilemmas and a lack in confidence.
Lloyd explained: “Dating was a minefield, too. I’d been on a number of dates with one lady who I quite liked and obviously I hadn’t told her I had the male equivalent of a Wonderbra in my hair.” Lloyd turned to using magic black sprinkles to make his hair look thicker.
He continued to add: “On the day of the date, I popped into John Lewis and bought some dark blue pillow cases, so that if my sprinkles came off during the night she’d not see them when we woke up.
