Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Face masks and coverings will be 'useful' as the UK comes out of the coronavirus lockdown, Boris Johnson ha said. The Prime Minister hinted that the general public may be advised to wear them ahead of the release of a lockdown exit plan next week.
He said masks would be useful for 'scientific reasons' and to give people some reassurance. Mr Johnson said more information would be given about face coverings next week.
