All shops that can and can’t reopen as coronavirus lockdown is eased

The UK has been on lockdown due to the spread of coronavirus since Prime Minister Boris Johnson made the announcement on March 23.

But last week the government issued new advice for England, which eased the restrictions slightly. The government want to introduce a gradual easing of the restrictions, in a hope it won’t bring on a second peak of Covid-19.

At the beginning of the lockdown only essential shops, such as supermarkets, were allowed to stay open. The majority of high street stores were ordered to close, and have remained shut.
