Fears of coronavirus outbreak in North Korea military as 4 die with Covid-19 symptoms

The coronavirus outbreak has reportedly struck North Korea’s military – with dozens of troops now quarantined. Three military doctors and one GP suddenly died of suspected Covid-19 symptoms on April 5, including fever.

They were pronounced dead at the Naval West Sea Fleet Command's 32nd Hospital in Nampo City. North Korea’s Navy Command, West Coast Fleet Command, and Korean People’s Army afterwards quarantined around 50 soldiers and 20 medical personnel, Daily NK reports.

The victims’ relatives have reportedly since been placed into a “national quarantine” facility in the city. One of the doctors had been going to work for a week while hiding a fever, it is claimed.
