Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan slammed Dr Hilary on Good Morning Britain today over his advice for gardeners returning to work during the coronavirus pandemic.

The pair erupted into a blazing row as they debated which non-essential workers could return to work. It started as Piers informed Dr Hilary and his co-star Susanna Reid that his elderly and vulnerable dad asked if his gardener could return to work.

Voicing his opinion, Piers said: "My vulnerable dad asked if his gardener could return to work and I said no. "Gardening isn't essential, no one is looking at your garden it can wait until this is over." But Dr Hilary had different advice as he voiced that he feels it is fine for gardeners to return to work.
