Freedom People’s Alliance hold protest in Badulla

Colombo (News1st) – The Freedom People's Alliance staged a protest at the Welekade junction in Badulla on Sunday (26) demanding that elections be held.

Parliamentarians representing the Freedom People's Alliance including Prof. G.L. Pieris, Dullas Alahapperuma, and Dilan Perera, together with party candidates contesting the Local Government Election from the Badulla District participated in the protest. "I assure you that we will work with the Election Commission to hold this election according to the constitution and the law of the land.

We will end the reign of Ranil Wickremesinghe", stated MP Dullas Alahapperuma. Parliamentarian Dilan Perera invited all members of the opposition to stop fighting each other and unite in order to "send the Ranil Rajapaksa government home".

He said the Freedom People's Alliance was ready to make "any sacrifice" to unite. "This helicopter is the party that is going to uplift the lives of the people who have suffered", he added..
