Gary Neville has hit back at Matt Hancock, Britain's Health Secretary, after he called out Premier League footballers for not taking pay cuts.

Top flight clubs have already begun taking cost cutting measures with Tottenham and Newcastle placing non-playing staff on furlough.

But their players are still earning their mammoth salaries, although Mirror Sport understands clubs have come together as they seek a collective bargaining agreement that will reduce wages.

Neville though has criticised the government official for not looking after more pressing matters. He tweeted: "I wish I was a player for 10 more mins.
