Police have cordoned off Gorton Cemetery tonight after a man was slashed with a knife. The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
He's 34 and was taken to hospital where he remained on Thursday night, police confirmed. Armed police were scrambled to the cemetery on Woodland Avenue in Gorton at 7pm after initial reports that a gun had been fired.
It's understood a crowd of people were at the cemetery at the time following the funeral in Gorton today of 38-year-old dad Clive Pinnock.
The man was found injured at the scene when police arrived. Greater Manchester Police said he 'was found to have suffered knife wounds'.
