Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection Regina Doherty has said while the Government is still seeking clarity on the details of the Leaving Cert exams, the planned start date of 29 July has not changed.
Speaking on RTÉ's The Week in Politics she said they are still working on the details and admitted that everything "is conditional" regarding this virus.
She said the group that is assessing how the exams will take place is focused on details such as the venues and the numbers that can be in there at one time.
She said while cancelling the exams may satisfy some, it will cause upset for others. Ms Doherty also said she thinks the predictive grading could cause just as much anxiety.
