For all the latest news from in and around Bolton, sign up for the free MyBolton newsletter Covid-19 infection rates have risen in nine of Greater Manchester’s 10 boroughs today — but Bolton has experienced a 10 percent week-on-week fall in new cases.
The latest figures from Public Health England show that rates increased in every borough except Trafford on Sunday (May 30).
However like Bolton, Trafford saw an overall week-on-week fall in its infection rates, with numbers down by five percent. Bolton currently has 386.7 cases per 100,000 people, which was overtaken by Blackburn with Darwen’s rate of 390.1 yesterday.
Greater Manchester’s lowest infection rate belongs to Tameside, which recorded 36.6. This is still above the England average,
