British soap opera Hollyoaks is to reduce its weekly episode count to three amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Channel 4 show usually airs an episode on every week day night but will now be showing two episodes less per week due to the ongoing health crisis.
The soap's press office told The Sun Online : "As we continue to monitor the current situation and follow PHE advice in order to continue filming safely for the time being".
The soap will air episodes from Monday to Wednesday from March 30, 2020, until further notice. The press office added: "In the event that we have to take a break from filming we will look to revisiting some favourite episodes from recent years so Hollyoaks fans don’t miss out."
