Home Bargains advises customers to shop alone as new restrictions are introduced at Scottish stores

Home Bargains has introduced new guidance for shoppers during lockdown. The discount store chain, which sells everything from furniture to food, has remained open and serving customers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Its popular store at Ayr's Heathfield Retail Park is one of those operating a customer limit, with shoppers asked to wait outside on a 'one in one out' basis.

The limit has been helping to ensure each customer can keep a two metre distance from each other - in line with the government's social distancing guidelines.

Now, as lockdown prepares to enter its eighth week, Home Bargains has advised its customers to shop alone in store if possible.Signs placed at the entrance to stores state that only one family member per household
