COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has decided to initiate an investigation with regard to irregularities in fuel dispensing.The probe will be initiated in accordance with a recent complaint filed by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.The HRCSL said that it has started to gathering initial facts in relatin to this complaint.The Public Utilities Commission stated that it has received over 200 customer complaints with regard to irregularities related to petrol stations.
In addition, the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission stated that the number of customer complaints received regarding irregularities at petrol stations is also increasing.The commission stated that a program of inspection of samples of fuel at filling stations covering all districts has also been started..
