Inside Liam Payne's 'serious' health issues as he's rushed to hospital

Liam Payne has been raced to hospital during his romantic trip to Lake Como with girlfriend Kate Cassidy. His health issues follow the musician postponing his South American tour last month when the 30-year-old announced that his highly anticipated gigs would be rescheduled after being advised by doctors to take sick leave.

The star has been suffering a serious kidney infection, informing fans: "It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America. "It’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover."It's believed that the One Direction star is now being treated at a hospital in Italy, where he is expected to remain for at least another six days.

On Tuesday night the star was rushed to a medical facility in 'agony' with a 'serious health issue'. A source claimed to The Sun: "Liam is in a bad way but he’s in the best place he can be and finally doctors will be able to get to the bottom of what is going on.

Naturally he is gutted that his and Kate’s trip to Lake Como has been ruined but at least she was there to help him when he fell ill."Doctors have warned him not to expect to be signed off to go home for at least another six days."
