Scottish comedian Janey Godley has shared a poignant message in a health update for followers. The star, 62, was diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer in November 2021 before being given the all-clear after treatment, but it returned this year.

Janey has been open and honest about her struggles throughout her health battle. But this week she told fans she's determined to "keep going till we can't".

Penning a post for her loyal fleet of 290k followers on X, Janey said: "Cancer can take so much away from you, worrying about scans, inability to make plans - the painful veins, the terrifying fear of what comes next, nobody can take any of that uncertainty away and no amount of “be positive” can calm the night fears- we just keep going till we can’t."We watch every reaction on our doctors face to see if they are about to deliver the final blow and how that makes them feel when they go home at night, watching the fear on my daughters face every single time the hospital calls -nothing can solve this - we just go till we can’t."Earlier this week we reported that Janey's blood results came back with her marker 'slightly higher' as she continues to wait patiently for her scan results to come in, which will give her the all-clear for the next three months. She wrote alongside a snap of herself looking positive: "My blood results are in and my CA125 marker is very slightly up ( this can happen) - now waiting on the scan results - fingers crossed it’ll be clear and we go on for another three months."Janey has continued to keep busy and dedicate herself to work, with a BBC Radio 4 podcast called 'The C bomb' and more tour dates down south set for 2024.
