JOE Wicks has been forced to defend himself after mums have been left feeling "shamed" by his new weaning book. The Body Coach's new book Wean in 15 has advice for parents to help babies transition from milk to solids.

But mums who choose to use formula felt "shamed" by Joe's description of formula in the introduction to the book. He said he didn't have "the best start in life when it came to nutrition" and was "raised on formula milk from birth and didn't get a single ounce of breast milk" when he was a baby.

After reading the book, one mum told him in a Q&A on Instagram: "Felt a bit of shaming - bottle fed." He replied: "Please don't feel that way.
