Kate Garraway says 'forgive me' in new statement on Good Morning Britain after Derek Draper's death

Kate Garraway has shared a message with her Good Morning Britain co-stars days after confirming the death of her beloved husband Derek Draper.

There was an outpouring of love and support for the presenter on Friday (January 5) when she confirmed Derek had died almost four years after his life changed after contracting coronavirus.

The 56-year-old was a former Labour lobbyist-turned-psychotherapist. and became ill with the virus at the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

He was taken to hospital where he was put in an induced coma. He spent just over a year in hospital before returning home to Kate and their children - Darcy and Billy - in April 2021.
