Kim Jong-un: Taiwan issues update on 'sick' North Korean leader

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is "sick" and emergency plans are under way to replace him, Taiwan's intelligence chief has claimed.

There have been mixed reports over the dictator's health in recent weeks. Some claimed he may be dead, while others simply report that his health has declined.

The Hermit Kingdom is one of the most secretive countries on Earth, so information on his health is proving difficult to confirm.

However Chiu Kuo-cheng, director of Taiwan's National Security Bureau (NSB), has issued an update. According to Taiwan News, he said he was "sick".
