MEDIA, Pa. - A Pennsylvania school bus driver is facing charges for allegedly recording ‘upskirt’ videos of young girls who were passengers on his route. Bruce Stanely Garner, a 70-year-old from Delaware County, was charged with over 130 counts of child sexual abuse and other offenses. Investigators said Garner, a bus driver for Marple Newtown School District, was busted after a "suspicious" 14-year-old girl used her phone to record him recording underneath the skirts of young girls on his bus."As a result of the interview and other information provided at the time it was apparent the school bus driver was engaged in an illicit act known as up-skirting," Chief David Montella said. Authorities in Delaware County say they are investigating allegations that a Marple Newtown School District bus driver took 'upskirt' photos of young female students.Police say they found 139 videos on Garner’s cell phone. Marple Newtown school bus driver charged with taking 'upskirt' photos of female students

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. - A Delaware County school bus driver is now facing charges after authorities say he was found to have been taking 'upskirting' photos of female students. Bruce Garner, a 70-year-old bus driver who worked for the Marple Newtown School District, is facing 139 counts of invasion of privacy, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children and related offenses.Authorities say their investigation began on May 17, when Upper Providence Township police were called to investigate a report inappropriate conduct involving a school bus driver. After speaking with a female student and her mother, detectives say they determined that the school bus driver was taking pictures up the skirts of teen and pre-teen girls with his cell phone on his route. Authorities obtained a search warrant for Garner's phone and conducted forensic analysis on the device. An arrest warrant was approved by the District Attorney's Office based on the evidence recovered from the phone. Authorities in Delaware County say they are investigating allegations that a Marple Newtown School District bus driver took 'upskirt' photos of young female students.Officials say there is no evidence to suggest that Garner had physical contact with any of the teenage victims.Garner was taken into custody at his Lansdowne home and was arraigned.Delaware County's Special Victims Unit went on to identify three teen victims.

DOVER, Del. - A traffic stop turned drug search has taken yet another turn amid accusations of racial profiling.Delaware State University, a historically black college, will file a formal civil rights complaint against the Liberty County Sheriff's Department after the lacrosse team was stopped in Georgia, according to Tony Allen, the university's president.Allen says the deputies performed a "constitutionally dubious stop and search" of the lacrosse team and their bus as they drove home on April 20.The team was pulled over in Liberty County for an alleged minor traffic violation. PHILADELPHIA - A Delaware County family is suing TikTok after a young girl died while attempting a social media challenge they claim that she saw on the app. The family of 10-year-old Nylah Anderson, who died in December, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the social media giant Thursday in Philadelphia. Attorney Jeffrey Goodman, a partner at the firm representing the Anderson family, called TikTok a "dangerously popular app" and warned that what happened to Nylah could happen to any child. "The nature of the lawsuit is that TikTok, through their algorithms, decided that it was a good decision to send a how-to video to a 10-year-old on how to asphyxiate oneself," Goodman said.He explained that TikTok is unique from other social media apps and websites like YouTube. DELAWARE COUNY - Nurses, paramedics and county officials all came out Wednesday to protest possible closures within the Crozer Health System.Several services are set to close across four Delaware County hospitals unless they approximately $24 million to Crozer's for-profit California-based owner Prospect Medical Holdings, according to officials.Those services include mental and rehabilitation, along with inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and crisis.Hospital staff, joined by local, county and state leaders, say they are fighting because lives are at stake. They also say reopening these services will be really hard after they are closed.Several services are planned to close across four hospitals in Delaware County.
