M&D's goes into administration as 165 staff made redundant before payday

M&D's has gone into administration leaving 165 employees redundant without their usual wages. Scotland's Theme Park workers contracts were terminated on Thursday, the Daily Record has learned.

Many employees 'cannot remit payment for their April salaries' and instead have to apply for a capped payment from the Redundancy Payments Service (RPS).

One heartbroken worker told the Record: "I think it's shocking."They've done this days before we were meant to get paid.""The Government has a furlough scheme that they could have applied to."But bosses have decided to just kill of all the staff right before pay day."In an email sent out to staff, M&D's chiefs blame 'suffering financial issues for some time' which were 'further exacerbated by the
