Manchester City’s appeal to UEFA over their Champions League ban means some clubs could be waiting for months to learn if they will play in Europe next season.
The Sky Blues broke UEFA'S Financial Fair Play rules by overstating the club's sponsorship revenues between 2012 and 2016. The Adjudicatory Chamber of UEFA's Club Financial Control Body slapped the club were slapped with a £25million fine and a two-year ban from European competition.
But City have taken the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after branding the investigation as “flawed”. The case will be heard from Monday for three days via video call due to the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
