Manchester United’s plans to increase the capacity at Old Trafford have reportedly been postponed amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The club had been looking into ways of expanding the stadium this summer to help boost attendances for next season and onwards.

After increasing capacity from 55,000 to 76,000 in 2006, that was slightly reduced after the installation of 300 disabled positions.

According to the Daily Mail, any future work has now been put on hold with coronavirus putting paid to all sporting action and normal life in many places around Europe and further afield.
